The Master Gunsmith Certificate takes you a step further into extractors, lowers, reloading, fire control groups, and more complex repair work. Most Police Armorers are at this level. One of our Master grads has specialized in custom .458 Lott sniper rounds, from design to reloading. His customers include police, military and wealthy dangerous game hunters worldwide. Mid level tools such as taps and dies and an inexpensive drill press are used. Masters also have their choice to specialize in bladesmithing as well as a variety of firearms.
The Journeyman Gunsmith Certificate is the ultimate certification for a gunsmith or bladesmith, and includes manufacturer certification essentials. This includes designing and implementing your own wildcat loads, complete construction of custom knives and guns, and major repairs and refurbishing. Advanced tools such as milling, and topics like metallurgy are mastered at this advanced level.
